The Story of Happyness
Summary
Happyness is carrying her name right in her face, the young girl is giving everybody a wonderful smile who says Hi to her. The young girl with Spina Bifida has been beaten hard by life.
The mother could never afford a wheelchair for her daughter so she was carrying her on the side of her hip all day long.
It always was impossible for Happyness to attend any school class as nobody would take her to class or she would never be able to sit on a chair in class.
Challenges
In Cooperation with the orthopedic company Gottinger we managed to fix a mobile board with wheels where she will be able to lay down and to move around using her hands. We hope this new special mobility device will be a step towards school and class. But it takes surely more support than that.
We would like to support the school education of this bright and smart girl who wants nothing more than be in class together with other children.
With your donation you can help Happyness with school supplies and school fees. We guarantee every cent will reach the young girl.

Happyness: Little girl VERY BIG!
She puts a smile on everyone's face when they meet happyness. The girl is marked by her difficult fate. Born with a spinal cord defect – a spina bifida – she was unfortunately only connected to a follow-up far too late. Now at the age of 12, she is without a shunt, but over the years she has developed an extreme form of spinal curvature and a luxation of the left hip. Both legs are paralyzed and rigid. A sedentary body position impossible due to the contracted hip muscles.
Since she was a child, the mother has been carrying the young girl. She couldn't sit upright in a wheelchair. Never has the otherwise mentally disturbed child attended a school. No class would accept them lying on the ground. Spinal alignment is no longer possible, any form of intervening corrective surgery risky and life-threatening.
Together with the company Gottinger, we tried to provide the child with the leadership of mobility and independence for the first time. A roller board has been made for the child, with which she can at least move around inside. The first attempt to put the young girl on the custom-made board succeeded. With a smile on her face, she tried to brush off her arms in order to move forward. A completely unknown feeling of self-determined mobility for them. For children like Happyness, being mobile is a basic prerequisite for their further development. Plans have already been made for a school visit to develop a modified wheelchair in which it can move in half-lying body position, or alternatively in abdominal position with larger wheels, perhaps even in the area itself. A big thank you to the support and know-how of the company Gottinger, with which we will certainly continue to contribute to the next solution.
